
Conference Planning & Development:
The Conference Planning & Development Committee - Oversees themes, session topics, venue, menu, scheduling, materials, and marketing.
Each year, subcommittees are formed to support specific tasks. If you're interested, join the Planning Committee and any subcommittees where you can contribute!
Volunteer opportunities:
- Program Development – Secure presenters, finalize session topics and schedules, coordinate facilitators and volunteers, and manage speaker forms and audiovisual needs.
- Community Outreach – Select a local charity, organize a conference fundraiser, and oversee donation distribution.
- Marketing and Membership – Promote the conference, engage potential participants and partners, and manage outreach and marketing materials.
- Publications – Design brochures, graphics, signage, and conference materials.
- Games & Activities - Plan networking events, interactive sessions, and social gatherings.
- On-Site Event Support – Manage registration, signage, material distribution, and general event logistics. Includes Executive Committee members.
- Audiovisual – Oversee technical needs for speakers and sessions, ensuring proper setup and venue coordination.
- Food - Collaborate with venue staff to plan meals, accommodate dietary needs, and ensure timely setup. Ad Hoc
- Sponsorship – Work with the Sponsorship Chair to secure sponsors, review sponsorship plans with the Executive Committee and establish offerings. Ad Hoc
Executive Committee:
- President –Chairs the organization, ensuring governance and mission fulfillment. Oversees conference planning, establishes timelines, and assembles the planning committee. Transitions out in even-numbered years, remaining on the committee for at least one additional year.
- Vice President -Supports the President in organizational responsibilities, leads planning and nominating committees, and oversees officer transitions. Steps down in odd-numbered years, staying on the committee for at least one more year.
- Secretary –Manages official records, organizes and distributes meeting minutes, and conducts the annual business meeting. Transitions out in even-numbered years, remaining on the committee for one additional year.
- Treasurer –Oversees financial management, budgeting, and annual reporting. Steps down in odd-numbered years, continuing on the committee for an additional year.
